| KARINE ARABIAN CREATES THE YOUPS FOR UPS |
| Press Release |
| PARIS, 13th November 2007 – For its 100th anniversary, UPS asked Karine Arabian, an outstanding figure in French fashion, to design an accessory that would represent the "UPS woman". From this request the Youps was born, a bag designed for modern women to carry their personal items easily, anywhere in the world. |

“The UPS woman is above all elegant and chic, constantly on the move, and she always carries with her not only her personal items, but also her laptop, her mobile phone and her personal organiser,” said Karine Arabian. “This image is closely linked to my perception of UPS, whose services I used even before starting this project! I associate UPS very closely with ideas of movement, openness to the world, brand image and also with new technologies.”
“However,” added Arabian “I realised that there was no bag available for women to carry everything that we would usually keep in a handbag as well as all the high-tech items that we need to have on us at all times to keep in touch with both our personal and professional worlds. With the Youps I wanted to offer today’s women a new alternative.”

Karine Arabian has chosen to make the Youps in brown padded leather, in reference to the famous UPS vehicles and delivery drivers’ uniforms. Decorated with fine gold metal lines, the bag conceals numerous inside pockets that allow you to neatly store and find all your day-to-day accessories, from your wallet to your laptop, not forgetting your make-up bag!
This coveted item will only be available as a limited edition and will go on sale in February. Customers will find it at Karine Arabian’s boutique in Paris as well as at various other addresses in France (Série Noire in Lille, L’Escalier in Metz, Espace Marianne Cat in Marseille, and Boutique Numéro 36 in Rennes). Tailor-made versions will also be available to order directly from the website, www.karinearabian.com and the Youps will be delivered by UPS! |

| About Karine Arabian: |
| |
| Of Armenian origin, Karine Arabian inherited a taste for fine materials, and a sense of refinement and form from her boot maker grandfather and her tailor father. She showed talent very early on: after periods spent at Esmod International Fashion School then at Studio Berçot, in 1993 she was awarded a prize at the Hyères International Fashion and Photography Festival in France, which recognises the most talented young fashion designers every year. She went on to seduce Swarowski and Chanel with her work, before setting up her own line of accessories, bags, shoes and jewellery in 2000. After nearly 8 years’ experience her success was crowned by an exhibition at the Marseilles Fashion Museum, a retrospective of over 10 years of creation. Her designs have seduced such prestigious clients and icons of modern femininity as Vanessa Paradis, Isabelle Adjani and even Madonna and Scarlett Johansson. |
